Horse riding and NDIS





Yes, sometimes NDIS does fund horse riding or equine therapy. Costs of equine therapy may be covered by NDIS if:

  1. This form of treatment is likely to have a positive impact on your health and wellbeing and;

  2. It is directly related to your disability. It also needs to meet the reasonable and necessary test that NDIS applies to all purchases made using plan funds.
